Bong

Bong

Bong is a smoking accessory enjoyed by enthusiasts and budding amateurs alike. It is effortless to use and provides a smooth flow of smoke, enhancing the whole smoking experience.

A bong is the go-to smoking tool since all you have to do is put your herbs in the bowl and light it. You do not need rolling papers, roaches, or other equipment. Just a bong, lighter, and herbs of your choice are enough to give you a pleasant smoking experience.

But, a bong works just like a glass pipe with the addition of a water bowl and a long pipe for inhalation. Because of the water in the bong, the smoke is cooled down before you inhale it. Moreover, when the smoke passes through water, it helps eliminate harmful toxins and impurities from the substance.

The components in a bong include a detachable bowl with a downstream leading to the water chamber, a neck that carries the smoke, and a mouthpiece from where you can inhale the smoke.

There are many types of bongs available in the market, which might confuse you when you head to a headshop to shop, looking to buy bongs online.

When buying your first bong, it is important to take your time to make sure you pick the right one, as the wrong choice of bong could ruin your whole experience.

So, here are some of the different types of bongs you can buy from an online head shop.

Bong Materials

  1. Glass bongs

It is the most common and most popular material to make bongs, and it is considered the creme of the crop amongst other types of materials. There is not a single online headshop wherein you will not find a glass bong. Moreover, owing to their popularity, these bongs come in many different designs, sizes, and shapes.

They provide you with the best smoking experience as there is no risk of the material being toxic. But, glass bongs are more fragile than other bongs, so you must be careful while using and storing them.

  • Silicone bongs

It is another common bong material that smokers love worldwide, and due to innovation in producing toxin-free silicone, its popularity is on the rise. These types of bongs are borderline indestructible, and they are highly portable.

So, if you enjoy smoking on hikes or in the woods, you can simply carry a silicone bong in your bag without any hassle. However, if the silicone is of inferior quality, it might be prone to toxin build-up after some usage. So, to get the best quality, you must only buy from trusted head shops.

  • Acrylic bongs

These are some of the affordable bong options on the list. If you are trying to enjoy smoking while maintaining a tight budget, then acrylic bogs are the best solution. They are not the best-looking bongs on the market, but they will surely get the job done.

Acrylic bongs are almost unbreakable, lightweight, and easy to store. But, keep in mind that you only buy acrylic bongs that are BPA-free to ensure that there are no toxins in your smoke.

  • Ceramic Bongs

Ceramic bongs are a type of bong that only seasoned smokers buy since they are not meant for smoking, but rather, a collector’s item meant for display. Unlike other bongs, ceramic bongs are the most beautifully crafted bongs on the market, and they are a piece of art.

One can surely smoke from them, but they are very fragile. Ceramic bongs are a perfect showpiece for a smoker’s house, and can be used occasionally.

Size Classifications

  1. Small bongs

If a bong measures less than twelve inches, it is considered a small bong. Such bongs are great for regular usage, and they are also the best for beginners since they do not give off a lot of smoke which could be challenging for many to handle.

  • Big Bongs

Bongs that measure more than twelve inches in height but less than twenty-four inches are considered big bongs.

When you head to the shop to buy bongs online, you will notice that big bongs are priced higher than smaller ones. But, the price difference is totally worth it if you want more smoke from your bongs.

  • Extra Large Bongs

Bongs that measure over twenty-four inches can be deemed as extra-large bongs. Only seasoned smokers must consider buying them as it gives off a tremendous amount of smoke in only one pull.

When it comes to bong sizes, you will be surprised to see that any online head shop has many options.

So, when it comes to the kind of bong you should buy, it all comes down to what you specifically need. If you are an avid smoker on a budget, consider buying a small silicone or acrylic bong. On the other hand, consider buying a glass bong if you want the best experience.
